Blacksmith II - The Journeyman Cross

Assigned to an apprentice who has completed their training, a Journeyman’s Cross is a traditional blacksmith exercise that incorporates and expands upon all of the skills learned in Blacksmith I - 7 Fundamental Skills. A number of new techniques are introduced, including raising, drifting and scrolling, as well as traditional joinery techniques including tenons, wraps, collars, pass-throughs, rivets and forge-welds.

Essential skills for you to move on to more advanced projects.

An intermediate course, students should have some forging experience or have taken Blacksmith I - 7 Fundamental Skills.

Two-and-a-half Days. Class begins 4pm Friday, 8-5 Sat/Sun.

All tools, materials, safety equipment and a catered lunch are provided.
